about christine
Christine Fordstrom is an educational therapist with more than 20 years of experience helping students unlock their potential, bringing both expertise and empathy to her work. She guides students in navigating the challenges of learning differences, self-doubt, anxiety, and academic transitions. She views learning as both a science and an art—a deeply human journey of discovery. Through her practice at Learn to Learn Educational Services, she provides individualized Educational Therapy as well as targeted College Admissions Strategies.
Blending her deep understanding of cognitive science with a heart for human connection, Christine draws on her background in understanding how people think, adapt, and connect to help learners uncover their strengths, build confidence, and approach challenges with curiosity and courage. Her practice blends evidence-based strategies with compassion and creativity, guiding students to find joy and purpose in their education. A world traveler and dream-maker at heart, Christine finds inspiration in the diversity of human experience and believes that education is not merely preparation for life, but life itself—an unfolding journey of wonder and growth. Unlike traditional tutoring, which focuses on subject content, educational therapy focuses on the process of learning. She teaches students how to plan, prioritize, and study efficiently — skills that apply across every class, every semester, and every stage of life.
In developing deep relationships with her clients over their educational career, she recognizes their challenges extend beyond the classroom. Many of those in high school are overwhelmed by the college admissions process—a complicated, often inequitable system that demands not only outstanding academic competence but also emotional resilience and complex decision-making skills. These demands can be especially daunting for those clients that have exceptional cognitive strengths coupled with significant learning differences. Christine enjoys profound professional satisfaction in supporting her clients through the college application journey. College Admissions Strategy is not just about helping students gain admission to college. She sees it as a process of guiding young adults in a journey to clarify their sense of purpose, values, and direction. Through the structured coursework and exposure to current admission trends, her goal is to deepen her understanding of how to align each student’s strengths and interests with the right academic environment. Chsristine strives to enable her students not only to gain admission to an institution that they are proud of, but to thrive—academically, socially, and personally—once they arrive on campus.
A lifelong learner herself, she holds a B.S. in Biological Anthropology from UC Davis, an M.A. in Anthropology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, a Certificate in Educational Therapy from UC Berkeley Extension, and a Certificate in College Counseling from UC San Diego Extension.
